Made in Latvia - only such words are heard in Vermanes Garden these days.

Came across this fair organized in Vermanes Garden two times already. So I decided, why not to make a post dedicated to this event? I cherish a special set of feelings towards fairs and markets. I think that exactly in such places you can find something interesting, creative or highly needed. And so. The fair is dedicated to World Choir Games that happen these days in Riga. Though, the fact that this year Riga is the European Cultural Capital, undoubtedly, plaid a bug part. "Made In Riga 2014" gathered around 180 local manufacturers in one place, but I found a couple of artisans from Lithuania. Leather and pottery wares, jewelry and accessories, textiles and clothing, cookies, sweets, wine, soap and many other stuff can be found there. I, for example, got myself a luck button with my name. Sweet little thing and will always fit in a wallet or bag. It also can be given as a little souvenir.
Excitement around the fair is seen both from tourists and local residents side. Latvians especially like luck buttons. Female tourists, in turn, have a huge demand for hair accessories, necklaces, bracelets, rings.
If you are wondering what to do during the weekend, then I strongly suggest to visit "Made In Riga 2014". The fair will last until July 19, so feel free to save the date and go get familiar with Latvian products.
