Wondering what to wear for New Year's party? Or for Christmas? Lets find it out together!

Here we are in December. I bet you all are in festive mood now! The city where you are now, is probably already decorated with lights, Christmas trees, maybe even with snow. Heads are getting overload with pre-festive ideas - outfit, gifts, organization of a festive evening.
For some of us the main December festival is New Year, for others - Christmas. I think that my ideas will appeal to everyone and each of you will definitely find something interesting. It's not necessary to create a total look from the pieces that were selected by me. You can select any item that you like the most, for example, shoes and use your imagination while creating own look.
Today I want to share some thoughts on festive attire. Having studied various articles about "What to wear on New Year's Eve", I identified main NYE's colors - green, blue, light blue and white. I decided to add red, gold, silver and black to my list though. The last ones can be chosen by those, who celebrate Christmas, in my opinion  these colors symbolize such a festive day the most.
I think that shine, or glitter, is important, as it sets a festive mood. It can be sequins, beads, textures a la metallic and fabrics, such as brocade. In short, lets shine during these December holidays!

Dresses can be totally different. The main thing is to choose style and color that suit you the best. Length can vary from maxi to mini, but don't put your hands on super mini now. If you decide to play with the length of a dress, then I advice you to play with the length of sleeves as well, perfect examples of contrast game are dresses Notte by Marchesa and Badgley Mischka.
A major role in dresses is played by mentioned above shine. Again a lot of options. It can be decorated with beads, embroidery, sequins, for example, Badgley Mischka and fabric itself with shine effect, like Alice + Olivia dress.

Don't forget that shoes say a lot about the character of its mistress. Therefore, I advice to pay a lot of attention to shoes. A lot of options. It can be closed-toe court shoes, like Dune, or opened heel sandals, for example, Sophia Webster
The main trend is texture a la metallic, that is presence of shine and reflection. Stuart Weitzman shoes and Casadei opened heel sandals can be attributed to shoes with metallic effect. If you are not a fan of metallic, then shoes with interesting details, like in a case of Casadei, can be alternative.

Bags are different. In its shape, size, style. Most suitable for parties and holidays are, of course, clutches and small shoulder bags. The main thing in this case is not versatility and spaciousness, as long as there is a place for mobile phone and lipstick.
It can be elegant clutch by Inge Christopher or Anya Hindmarch. Or something more modern, like embellished BCBGMAXAZRIA or perspex and transparent Charlotte Olympia. Or maybe you like more creative options, for example, crisp packet Anya Hindmarch or bag with a face Alice + Olivia.

NY Jewelry Ideas

In jewelry I decided to give preference to gold and silver. Firstly, it's universality, such jewelry you will be able to wear more than once. Moreover, gold and silver won't loose its relevance, whether they are real or just gold-plated. Secondly, you will look totally elegant in such jewelry.
There's greatest variety in jewelry. You don't need to put it all together- necklace, earrings, bracelets and rings. Necklace and earrings could be enough, it depends on the outfit. Design game can be very interesting, for example, necklace pendant in key and heart shape Tiffany & Co, bracelet-feather Melinda Maria and necklace resembling bird's wings BCBGMAXAZRIA. And what about modern view on jewelry, like Ileana Makri and Stephen Webster rings?

NY Jumpsuit Ideas

Jumpsuit can serve as an excellent alternative to a dress. I big bet on them is made in a holiday season by stylists and journalists. I decided to remove shine in jumpsuit selection. The main role is still given to design.
Is it bright jumpsuit with long sleeves Diane von Furstenberg or with completely naked shoulders Coast. Or maybe it's elegant classics of Emilio Pucci. Or maybe you want interesting details? For example, laced back side Miss Selfridge or cutouts on the waist Stella McCartney? Anyway, in a jumpsuit you won't go unnoticed.
