White and black. Black and white. Monochrome is one of the leading color combinations of Spring/Summer 2015 season.
We all love black and white, don't we? Such a simple color combination. So formal yet casual at times. Black and white on its own and in a combination will always be relevant no matter the season, the year, the century and circumstances. Because it's pure classics.
This season designers like Alexander McQueen and Alice + Olivia put the black-and-white combination in literally every possible way - as a coordination of monochrome separates or as a color blocks in garments or color combinations in prints. It's in those beautiful Alice+Olivia dresses. It's in those statement prints of Alexander McQueen. Alexander Wang took the contrasting color combination to another level. The designer implemented it in massive belts in bar code style, we are not even speaking about little bar codes on the collars.
Today, as usual, we have prepared a selection of cool-to-have pieces you should definitely pay attention to. Most of them are pieces that originally go in black-and-white combinations. But we didn't put the coordination of monochrome separates in an outfit aside. Now scroll down to check all of them out!

Dresses

Black and white dresses are perfect for every occasion. White Kenzo striped dress will be perfect for warm Summer evening strolls along the sea, something similar to Moschino Cheap and Chic will work well for the hot office days. What about partying? Then it's Balmain

Tops

Here come all sort of tops. Starting with Topshop sweatshirt in tribal print for colder days and Alexander McQueen cropped top for warmer ones. Finishing off with an office look alike blouse from Chloe and absolutely basic one from Proenza Schouler.

Bottoms

Bottoms also come in different forms. Should you go for classy trouser option from Edun or charmingly lacy shorts from Alice + Olivia. It doesn't matter, it's still about black-and-white combos. We also love this Fausto Puglisi patchwork skirt.

Outerwear

Some good outerwear pieces come in elegant and sporty styles. The normcore addicted will find the Stella McCartney bomber as a perfect upgrade of their seasonal wardrobes. Those of us who, in turn, want to get noticed have already fallen for Tim Ryan fringed bird-alike jacket. The golden middle we bet are now looking at the Narciso Rodriguez long vest.

White Top Black Bottom. Black Top White Bottom.

The black and white separates are always a good idea. Should it be a white top - black bottom combination, something like Balmain blazer and Proenza Schouler culottes? Or should it be visa verse with Vilshenko cropped top and Giambattista Valli skirt? It's up to you. Have a good time playing mix-and-match game.

Details

Take the black and white trend to another level. Monochrome details can not only finish the black and white outfit off, but also help to make a statement outfit by pairing it with other colors. Our favorites here are Oscar de la Renta shoes, Monreal London racket bag and Proenza Schouler bucket bag. Real statement pieces.
