Adding soft chic to Autumn/Winter 2015 season.

Is it yet of a secret to anyone that velvet is one of the top fabrics of the season? Due to its unobtrusive and modest yet luxurious nature, or let's put it better as appearance, this fabric has been winning people's hearts for centuries.
Although velvet is not a kind of fabric that is able to warm you up throughout cold Winter days, it definitely can add a fashionably luxurious touch to any outfit. Be it a super elegant evening dress or the most casual outfit. Just a tiny bit of velvet can change the fashion game of yours completely. The best thing about velvet this Autumn/Winter season - there are no strict rules on how to or how not to use this fabric. Designer brands like Alexander Wang, Christopher Kane, Emporio Armani, J.W.Anderson insisted that a bit, or a lot, of velvet never killed nobody.
Implement it in gentle details of your blazer, creative prints on your dress, total velvet pant suit in black or color and be brave enough to mix it with other fabrics and seasonal prints! It's all about your own imagination... and just a little bit of drama, maybe.

Velvet details is an interesting way to implement this fabric in your seasonal wardrobe. You can stay on the safe side by investing into a piece that is not fully velvet and still support the trend. Alexander Wang and Christopher Kane implemented velvet details both in quite traditional way, like lapels and pockets, and in more interesting ways, like artistic patterns and prints.

A la Combo

Velvet combo, i. e. pant suit has always been a cool thing. Despite the color, be it black, deep blue or red, it is able to make a serious statement and add more elegance. Apart from pant suit that you can coordinate on your own, this season according to Emporio Armani and Christopher Kane velvet combination also includes skirt suits, sweatshirts and skirts, bralets and pants and much more.

Black velvet is classics. It will go with everything, first. It will be appropriate in any case, second. Emporio Armani and Alexander Wang took black velvet to an extremely dramatic way yet very charming. As if they were saying: "Don't be afraid of darkness. Simply admit it and let it take over your soul".

In Color

'Velvet in color is the new black' - say Christopher Kane and J.W.Anderson by implementing it in prints, details, color blocking and so on. We have nothing but agree with creative minds and get a piece or two of colorful velvet to brighten up the upcoming greyness.
