A is for Anna? Well, not really... But first, let me spill couple of words regarding the Whistle + Bango necklace itself that actually is the most perfect addition to my already beloved bangles. Now, I guess, this set turns me into an ultimate W+B lady... Going back to the necklace, I love the overall idea of it and the fact that pendant, the barrel roll, is of the same design as bangle - just a super miniature version. And I sure do like the fact one can either customize her (or his) necklace or go for already existing alphabet collection.
When it comes to my necklace and message choice itself, it's too obvious I went for letter 'A'. Some might think it stands for my name - Anna. And they'll be partially right, as it's true. But I already have that first W+B bangle customized with my initials. So what I had in my mind when making my necklace decision? 'A' here stands for anxiety. Exactly. It's something that's been a part of my life for many many years now and it's something that will continue to be to some extent in the future. While I was still in that final choice process I realized that the pendant actually falls into that chest area where anxiety is felt the most (as for me).
So this was the second sign, or whatever one would name it, in pro direction. And no, it doesn't serve as a reminder, I mean in that bad or negative sense. I do find it positive that mental health topic is highly discussed and talked through these days. I do like the fact people share stories regarding their own battles. It allows you to feel less of stranger in this world. Sure there's still a long way to go to break the stigma completely and so on. I started talking about that 'Living with Anxiety' story of mine in 2017 and will sure continue with it this year (and further on) as there are so many thoughts and even more questions to share.
I feel highly blessed to share this story by means of my Whistle + Bango piece. This London based brand came as a discovery for me back in 2016. I've been rockin' the cream-y bangle for 2 years now, on daily basis of course, and I can easily state that W+B creations do stand the test of time. Because there's something that doesn't fit into time frames and trends...
